In the randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled RENEWAL-NAD+ clinical trial, five days of oral LathMized® NAD+ supplementation produced a 53% higher intracellular whole-blood NAD measurement compared with placebo.
The RENEWAL-NAD+ study evaluated oral LathMized® NAD+ in healthy adults aged 45–75. Sixty participants were randomized, and 50 were included in the primary analysis.
After five days of supplementation using the study's dosing regimen, intracellular NAD measured in whole blood was 53% higher in the treatment group than in the placebo group (p = 5.48 × 10⁻¹⁴).
NAD measured in plasma did not significantly change.
All 23 treatment participants evaluated for individual responses demonstrated an increase in intracellular whole-blood NAD from baseline. Eighteen participants (78.3%) showed increases greater than 30%.
Significant increases in the downstream metabolites MeNAM and 2PY were consistent with increased NAD-related metabolic processing.
LathMized® NAD+ was generally well tolerated during the five-day study. One mild adverse event involving nausea was reported in the treatment group, and no serious adverse events were observed.
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is an essential coenzyme involved in hundreds of enzymatic reactions throughout the body — cellular energy metabolism, mitochondrial processes, DNA maintenance, and cellular signaling. Research suggests that NAD+ concentrations may decline with aging in certain tissues, although the magnitude and timing vary by tissue and individual.
Essential for reactions involved in ATP production — the energy currency of every cell.
Supports the function of NAD-dependent enzymes such as PARPs.
Serves as a required substrate for NAD-dependent sirtuin enzymes.
Participates in pathways involved in metabolic adaptation.
Contributes to the normal energy metabolism of nerve cells.
Plays a central role in cellular redox reactions.
Contains NAD+ rather than relying exclusively on precursor ingredients such as NR or NMN.
Demonstrated a significant increase in intracellular NAD measured in whole blood in a randomized, placebo-controlled human study.
Supported by peer-reviewed findings published in GeroScience.
An oral supplement approach that does not require intravenous administration.
Uses LathMized® processing technology developed to address NAD+ formulation challenges.
Committed to advancing research into NAD+ metabolism, bioavailability, and cellular health.
